Update: 2009 Constructed Qualifiers

Here we are, about to embark on another qualifiers season. The excitement is palpable.

Will players stay with old favorites, or do any of these new designs really have potential? We'll find out over the next few weeks. Players will be competing for positions at the GenCon championships, but most locations are making additional prizes available. These include Guild supplied maps and even some spectacular repaints, like these from the South Bend tournament this weekend.

There's also breaking news that we need to relay - and not only to anounce the West Coast tournaments. Dueling Grounds in Toronto has had an emergency move forced upon them - and won't be able to host the tournament on the original date. They are planning on holding their tournament in their new location on July 11th. This works out fine, though, because gamers in the Southern US banded together to successfully lobby the DDM guild for a qualifier in Louisiana. Our main concern was that the lobby was late, and with far too little lead in time for their June 6th 'planned date.' Therefore, their tournament has also been delayed until July 11th.
