Good job, sir!

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!

As a newbie trying to prepare for GenCon, these links are super helpful. You rock, Alepulp! A few questions:

1) Why is the file labeled "Cormyr" a list of minis from the Castle Ravenloft game? I just want to ensure I'm not missing anything. Specifically, to use the cards from the file called "Cormyr", I need to buy this game:
http://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/59946/dungeons-dragons-castle-ravenloft-board-game

(Which is not the Dungeon Command Heart of Cormyr expansion that one might expect from the file name.)

2) For the Fall Figures 2 (Fall2012Sculpts2.pdf), it lists 3 figures, but each of those cards reference minis from the Dungeon Command game:
Drow Web Mage = Sting of Lolth
Spear of Cormyr = Heart of Cormyr
Vanguard of Bane = Tyranny of Goblins

Those games have more than just 1 mini included. Why didn't the other minis get cards? (Perhaps those minis are duplicates of older minis that already have cards?)

(Similar question for Curse of Undeath Fall Figures 1)

3) For Nerath, I assume it references the minis from this game:
http://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/92044/dungeons-dragons-conquest-of-nerath-board-game

But those minis don't seem to be painted, and don't seem to come on round bases. Can I play with the minis from that game as-is, or must I paint them and/or do something to their bases?

4) For the Feymire cards, they reference a lot of existing minis that already had cards. What's the story with grouping them like this with new cards? For something like Rot Grub Swarm, I see one card for it in Feymire, and another card in Lords of Madness. If I have that physical mini, I get to pick which card I use with it? If I have two copies of the mini, I can use one card for one and another card for the other? In that case, are those cards considered to have the same name?

Thank you again, Alepulp!!!!

I suspect just mentioning the general rules that has been followed should suffice.

DDM minis were produced in randomised (or semi-randomised) sets up until Lords of Madness.

More minis were on their way - feymire was announced but never in fact produced, but some of the figures found their way into other sets, and were sold online from China.

A new game was produced (I think Peter Lee did most of the work?) based on single scenarios - these were Dungeon command. Many of the minis were already in existence in previous sets, and so didn't need new stats. It never seemed to catch on like DDM did. However, there were minis produced specifically for it, and for heroscape, that are the right size/scale for DDM. And, since they are produced by Wizards of the Coast, there is a commercial reason for re-statting them to DDM instead. Some, like Nerath, were not painted, but are still the right scale, and still Wizard's own development, so they can be used for DDM, and the Guild (mainly Tried, I think, with some help) produced stats and as a result they are legal for DDM games. No need to paint, unlike Warhammer.

Feymire is an epic set - many minis have a "normal" and an "epic" version of their stats. When you reveal your warband to your opponent they will know which one you are using based on the card you have at hand. You should explain which mini is which during the game. You might want to use a "sock" like those sold by dapperdevil to distinguish between them (you just fit these over the bottom of the mini, and voila, they have a different base colour).

Hope that helps

Pete

alepulp, I might consider including this file here. It helped me a lot when I got the boardgames and the DC packs...

The Game Rules linked from the Rules and Cards tab aren't the most current as of this posting. Hopefully they will be updated soon, but in the mean time, you can find the most updated rules here:

Can the Dragon Collecter set link be found elsewhere?

Change:

to:

https://box1055.bluehost.com/~ddmguil1/downloads/revised/cards/10th%20anniversary%20item%20set.pdf

I.e. replace "http://ddmguild.com" with "https://box1055.bluehost.com/~ddmguil1"

Hope that helps?

Was wondering if the 'Kraken Set' is also legal?
http://www.plasticrypt.com/vwc_images/Kraken%20Set.pdf

And post #1 is missing the link to the tyranny item set that Ida posted (see post #12).

The Kraken set is not finalized, as far as I know.

Change

Alepulp: if you'd be willing, it would probably be a simpler matter for you to edit your post to copy-paste the new address in all links, if it's useful for some people (I don't use those links myself).
