You are correct. I am incorrect.
My plan had been to eliminate this power of the merchant guard and I did not.

It refers to the current value.
If you are playing with the original bodyguard, then when it is within 6 it will not be affected.
The revised card lacks this power and should always be affected.

Elemental Ward:
The Effect lives on each creature with the keyword. The effect is that they cannot attack the protected creature. (I think it is pretty clear on the card)
But I understand your concern,
This is suboptimal from a design perspective.
Originally, when I designed this card, the effect lived on the creature affected and ended at the end of that creature's next turn (so basically two turns of use). But making it save ends and transferring it to the elemental weakens the effect significantly, particularly if there are multiple elementals - since one is bound to save and start attacking the protected creature.
(Its really based on the scroll protection from elementals in AD&D.)
Six Shooter:
Just on an attack with Bullet.
This should and will be clarified.
Keyword:
Unfortunately, since items are not assigned until set-up, they will not influence warband building.
Manshoon clone should not be level 10, actually.
This is a typo. He should be 14.
This may be a worry, but if this works by accident and it is not broken, it is thematically interesting...
BTW, these are not necessarily targeting bodyguards.
They have broader applicability, planning for an 8 creature meta.
Please see the notes above.
The set was never intended to address the bodyguard mob.
Rather, it was intended to provide a threat to fodder (generally) and introduce new cool items.
It was also meant to reduce lightning as a damage source to a level closer to cold or fire.

Good point, Brad.
Yes, this is an attack power.
Powers that grant attacks are attack powers, unless they otherwise stated.
Matt, here is the keyword equivalency list:
Aberration Aberrant
Animate Construct
Cleric Divine
Fighter Martial
Paladin Divine
Psionic Psi
Ranger Martial
Rogue Stealth
Warlock Arcane
Warlord Martial
Water Aquatic
Wizard Arcane
@ everyone else: Please let me know if you suspect an equivalency is missing.
