2009 Constructed Championship Fact Sheet

Well, it's certainly been an event-filled year here at the DDM Guild. Gen Con Indianapolis will be the first fully Guild-hosted championship event, and we are looking forward to it. It will be Grand Prix style, open to all, but with qualified players and highly ranked players getting byes through to Stage II.

This year, we've adopted a policy that will challenge players to quickly analyze and adapt to a new constructed metagame. Championship warbands may not include more than three of any given figure. In addition, we have another bit of innovation. This year, for the first year ever, players will be allowed to include a map with their warbands at registration. Playres will have a chance to use their own maps as part of the traditional map rotation.

Of course, if you are one of the masterful and lucky players that makes the top 8 (after all, it takes both to be among the best), we'll have our own surprises for you in Stage III, the single elimination finals.
