Revised Edition
Savage Encounters: Preview 1
Submitted by Kevin Tatroe on Sun, Nov 08 2009 - 21:08Greetings and Salutations, plastic addicts. Welcome to Savage Encounters previews! There’s a lot of goodness in this set, and I had a lot of fun working on it.
During my previews, I like to talk about design and thought processes—today, I am going to discuss design tendencies. All of us designers have certain strengths and weaknesses, and this is one reason designing as a team is so important. Each member can help point out and shore up weaknesses and tendencies that the others have.
Map Gazetteer
Have you ever wondered what that special square was again? Fret no more, we have created the Map Gazetteer specially for that purpose!
The Map Gazetteer precisely describes each map legal in the revised game, including information on what kinds of terrain each square is considered.
DDM Floor Rules
If you play in a home environment, you don't need this document. But once you start playing in official DCI tournaments, you are expected to follow the rules that are set forth in the DDM Floor Rules.
For the lazy people we've made this executive summary of the Floor Rules:
Players are expected to behave in a respectful and sporting manner at all times. Players shall abide by all rulings, including penalty rulings of the judge of duty. Players are required to have DCI number.
